CIBELES MADRID FASHION WEEK - 16 TO 20 SEPT








 
CIBELES MADRID FASHION WEEK (CMFW), organised by IFEMA, is staging its 54th edition from September 16 to 20, at Feria de Madrid, ratifying once again its leadership as the great platform for Spanish design and the best showcase for creative diversity in our country. Over five days, hall 14.1, integrated into the theme space DC Area 12.14 of Feria de Madrid, will be the setting for the staging of a new edition of CMFW, in which 44 creators will be showing their collections for Spring Summer 2012 on the runways. They will be joined by 40 young talents who will be exhibiting and promoting their designs in the EL EGO showroom of CIBELESPACIO, with direct retail sales.

Once again, innovation and new trends are the protagonists of this pivotal rendezvous for Spanish fashion, which will begin on Friday, September 16 with Roberto Verino’s fashion show, and will end on Tuesday, September 20 with a fresh COOLPEOPLE parade at Cibeles. This edition’s new features include the incorporation into the general programme of the young Maya Hansen, from EGO, and the staging of the “Russia at Cibeles” fashion show, within the framework of the Spain-Russia dual year, on Monday, September 19, at 8 p.m., when some twenty Russian creators will be displaying their proposals.

Furthermore, within the framework of CMFW’s renewed commitment to new technologies, this edition’s fashion shows will once again be aired live, through the CIBELES’ web page,following the success of its launch in the previous edition, which enabled over 50,000 people to log in through their computers and mobile devices to follow the fashion shows live. In the same way, CMFW is reinforcing its commitment to social networks and, in addition to its active presence in Facebook and Twitter, from this edition onwards it can also be found in Tumblr and tuenti. The show also has its own blog which for some months has been headlining everything concerning CIBELES and the fashion world.

INTERNATIONAL TEXTIL EXHIBITION - MILANO 14 -19 SEPT



Intertex Milano is the first international textile trade show in Italy open to the producers and exporters coming from all over the world (including non European Union countries).
Selected exhibitors from 22 countries, mainly manufacturers of fabrics for women’s, men’s and children’s wear, laces, embroideries, knitted and woven fabrics but also accessories, yarns and clothing.





INTERGIFT -INTERNATIONAL GIFT FAIR - MADRID 14-18 SEPT



The last edition of INTERGIFT, which took place between 3rd and 7th February 2011, once again featured a carefully-designed presentational approach in all of its exhibition halls. It was the result of the ongoing efforts that the participating companies make when it comes to creating spaces that are capable of generating trends, reflecting their philosophy and brand image and conveying essential information to their customers and points of sale regarding presentation strategies.
The number of professionals who attended INTERGIFT and BISUTEX, two events that coincided between 3rd and 7th February 2011 within the framework of Giftrends Madrid, came to 41,832 in total.

MADRID INTERNATIONAL FASHION FAIR - 1 TO 3 SEPT

This edition will feature the participation of 421 exhibitors (an increase of 16.6% compared to September 2010) and more than 750 brands from thirteen different countries.

  The IFEMA Showrooms will be practically full at their third edition, which is scheduled to coincide with SIMM, based on the participation of almost one hundred brands. These exhibitors will occupy some 20 rooms at the North Convention Centre, entailing an additional 2,800 square metres with regard to the fair itself
  The fair will once again provide a boost for a number of talented up-and-coming designers through the EGO Area, which on this occasion will present the ideas of some 21 new fashion creators.
  The Balearic Islands will promote adlib fashion in its capacity as Guest Region on this occasion.
  The world of Spanish fashion has rejoined the path of growth thanks to exports. Over the first five months of the year, sales abroad increased by 16.5%, achieving a figure of 3,800 million euros.
