The strength, beauty and unique characteristics of Brazilian fashion – particularly from the Northeast region – will all be shown during a great event. It is Perfil Moda, which is schedule to take place between August 11 and 14, 2009, at the same time as Maquintex - Exhibit of Machines, Equipment, Services and Chemistry for the Textile Industry. Both events will be held at the Ceará Conventions Center, in Fortaleza.
Including daily pageants from stylists known all over Brazil, Perfil Moda should take a 240-square-meter area with a special environment. The idea of having a fashion event together with a commercial exhibit came up during a meeting at the Pernambuco fashion center, when the FCEM group marketing director Hélvio Roberto Pompeo Madeira Júnior called upon his team – which included fashion producers Valéria Luna and Nestor Mádenes, as well as the coordinator of the Council of Fashion Professionals from Caruaru Commercial and Industrial Association Leopoldo Nóbrega – to provide a drive and a new fashion concept for Maquintex. “It is the ideal agenda to help fashion industrialists of the region to update themselves with the best information from the best professionals in the market. It is also an opportunity for new stylists from the states of Pernambuco and Ceará to present their works. A wide-scale endeavor that meets the needs of fashion in the region,” was the assessment of Valéria Luna, public relations professional who is also a fashion executive producer. A native of the state of Pernambuco, she has been working for six years in articulating with industry agencies on a nationwide level in order to develop Brazilian fashion industry. Valéria is one of the people leading Perfil Moda organization, together with Nestor Mádenes, production director and stylist.
Perfil Moda 2009 organization and strategic actions
Perfil Moda’s ambient – designed by art director Leopoldo Nóbrega – is scheduled to be placed right at the exhibit main entrance and will include exhibits from 10 selected stylists, five from the State of Ceará and five from Pernambuco. It will include a common area, daily pageants, a space for promotional attractions from sponsors, an auditorium with daily talks interspersed with the Textile Technicians Brazilian Association (ABTT) agenda, which includes names renowned all over Brazil. Subjects discussed will cover businesses, creation and gestation in the Fashion Industry.
According to Valéria Perfil Moda alone should get about a hundred people involved in organizing it, 90% of which are local workers. She feels enthusiastic about FCEM group’s efforts. “Endeavors such as these are extremely important for the professional activities of clothing manufacturers from the Northeast region and Ceará, which have always stood out in the national fashion scenario. Therefore, Perfil Moda 2009 meets the desires of the market. Together with Maquintex it is expected to be the great link between equipment and input suppliers for the fashion industry and its buying public,” emphasizes Valéria.
